This course will explain the responsibilities and ethics required of paraprofessionals. This will include interview tips and activities to help you identify the responsibilities of paraprofessionals.

About This Course

The Oklahoma Paraprofessional Courses are a series of 8 courses; all courses must be completed to receive credit on your course transcript. This course, OKPARA111, is the second course in this series.

Paraprofessionals play a vital role that is both similar to and different from that of a supervising teacher. The paraprofessional’s role is defined by a job description, as well as by the working relationship between the paraprofessional and the teacher. Ethical responses to specific situations are a requirement of both teachers and paraprofessionals.
